ReSound Alera - The ReSound Alera is the newest addition to Resound's range of hearing aid technology. The ReSound Alera is a direct replacement for the Dot range, incorporating improved technology and some really fancy new wireless technology for communicating via telephones and streaming audio from tv's and hifi's etc. via the new Unite range of hearing aid accessories
The ReSound Alera
is available at three technology levels and also with wireless connectivity
and without, ie. six distinct models. The non wireless models (the 560, 760
and 960) are smaller than the wireless models (561, 761 and 961) but it
seems hard to justify purchasing the non wireless models when all the
exciting and innovative technology in these hearing aids is primarily
around wireless connectivity in one form or another, especially when the
premium you pay for the wireless connectivity is relatively small in
comparison to the purchase cost of the hearing aids.
The feature set of the ReSound Alera range of hearing aids includes 3D Surround Sound Processing, Warp technology and extended bandwidths, DFS Ultra feedback cancellation and NoiseTracker noise suppression, Echostop and Wind Suppression, SoftSwitching and Adaptive Directionality.
