Widex Clear ITE and CIC delayed but some good deals on Widex Mind

June 20th, 2011 by Paul Minikin

Word has filtered through the the much anticipated Widex Clear ITE and CIC versions of their newest wireless hearing aids based on the C-ISP platform have been delayed yet again.

The RIC and BTE versions  and also the Widex Clear Fusion have been available for quite a while but it’s proved quite a task for Widex Hearing Aids to get the technology absolutely right and stable enough to release.

Although it’s disappointing news for those waiting for the new products one good thing to come out of the episode is that Widex UK have reduced the price of the older Mind technology to try to compensate for loss of business.

Normally we would always advise to go for the newest technology available, we see far too often national suppliers in particular buying up old technology, marketing it as ‘brand new, latest, ground breaking etc’ and misleading the general public. However we’ll say on this occasion if you are prepared to take a view you should be able to buy the older Widex Mind technology for a really good price until the release of the new Widex Clear ITE’s.

Please feel free to check out our hearing aid prices or contact us to find out more.

Widex Hearing Aids | Discount Hearing Aids

April 5th, 2011 by Paul Minikin

Widex are one of the leading manufacturers of hearing aids in the world. A Danish company with their corporate headquarters near Copenhagen, their UK head office and manufacturing base is in Chester. They make all their custom products there using 3-dimensional computer modelling and laser shell manufacturing techniques.

Widex is focused on providing the worlds finest hearing aids through a complete dedication to advanced research and development. Throughout Widex’s 50+ years of history, the overall challenge for Widex has been to develop hearing aids that fulfill the needs of the hearing-impaired around the world.

Widex are still owned by the founding family, this is unique in the hearing aid industry. They are the 6th largest hearing aid manufacturer in the world and are considered to be one of the best in terms of hearing aid technology.

Widex have been a little slow at introducing wireless communicating technology to their hearing aids, but their newer products from the Widex Clear 440 onwards have available some exciting wireless products based on 2.4 gHz wireless frequency rather than Bluetooth connectivity which has been used to press with most manufacturers. This new development promises further enhancements over and above existing technologies.

Current Widex hearing aids in the range are Widex Clear, Widex Mind, Widex Passion and Widex Real.
