Siemens have been making hearing aids for more than a century, in fact they developed the Phonophor hearing instrument more than a hundred years ago, the first technical solution to hearing loss.

Siemens have been at the forefront of hearing aid technology ever since, introducing their first ‘behind the ear’ hearing aid in 1959, first ‘in the ear’ in 1966, first remote control for hearing aids in 1987, the list goes on.

Siemens are a little unusual in the hearing aid industry in that they are not only prominent in hearing aid development but many different areas of health related technology, as well as engineering, mobile phones, computing and many other fields too.
