Hearing Aids - Aftercare and why it's so importantGood Aftercare is just as important a factor to a successful hearing aid fitting as the price you pay and the level of technology dispensed. When you make an enquiry to Discount Hearing Aids your enquiry, free hearing test, the advice given and ongoing aftercare is handled by a hearing aid audiologist that is LOCAL to you. Discount Hearing Aids are a group of like minded independent hearing aid audiologists that have formed an alliance. We are all committed to providing a high level of aftercare for our clients, giving the widest choice of technology available on the market with some of the lowest prices in the country. Unfortunately, dealing with a national company can be a bit of a disappointment in a number of ways. The prices they charge can be excessive (some might say obscene!), the choice is most often limited, and the staff and advice given can often be low quality and motivated by a commission structure that goes against best advice. This may sound harsh but the biggest reason the people involved in Discount Hearing Aids work for ourselves in our own local businesses is that we aspire to better standards than are generally available. You need to know
that the person who dispensed your hearing

easy to reach and readily available if you have a

Part of our aftercare service is that, should your aids need reprogramming at any time throughout their lifetime, we adjust the response of the aids to your changing hearing as required. There is no charge for this service, and this means your hearing aids can always be programmed up to date with your current prescription. Should your aids develop a fault you also need to know we are there to assist you and get you hearing clearly again. We are very careful to only dispense hearing aids within the area we know we can provide you with excellent aftercare. You always deal with the same person and all parts of the area we cover are visited or we are geographically close to at some part of any given week, so if you need us we should in most instances be able to call to see you within a couple of days or so, sometimes sooner! The members of Discount Hearing Aids aim to excel at aftercare, to offer more than others, be more helpful, professional and better value than any other hearing aid supplier. |
